Every holiday season highlights the need that exists in all of our communities. Gregg’s Giving Tree Program is a perfect example of the extreme generosity of the people of Southeastern New England. Established in 1995, this program brings holiday joy to over 1,500 individuals and families annually.
Gregg’s is proud to be a Gold Medal Sponsor for the Special Olympics Torch Run. This “kick off” event raises funds for the Rhode Island Special Olympic athletes.
Gregg's is proud to partner with the Providence Rescue Mission to provide desserts for holiday meals as well as items for the Christmas store they stage each year where those in need can choose items to give to their children on Christmas.
This year, Gregg’s was very proud to once again bring along our beautiful and tasty spring cupcakes to the “Taste of the Flower Show” that benefited the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
Gregg’s is proud to be a participant in the fund raising efforts of Roger Williams Zoo. Their annual “Zoobilee” takes place every June and is instrumental in providing the funds necessary to maintain the zoo for all to enjoy. Gregg’s desserts are a much anticipated part of this event.
Gregg’s was one of the founding members of the Rhode Island Hospitality Association in 1989. This organization plays a key role in bringing tourists into the state as well as being the voice for our state’s second largest employer – the hospitality industry.
Since its inception we have been an active participant with The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. We have raised funds through our "cake for the Cure" proceeds, as well as preparing "Pink" cakes for the WaterFire Fundraising festivities.
We teamed up with the RI Blood Center in 2003 by holding blood drives at the Gregg’s locations. Through this continuing partnership we are proud to say that with your help we have collected 974 donations which has saved 2,922 lives.
In August of 1996 Gregg's kicked off a unique community partnership with Hasbro Children's Hospital, an international model for children's health care and family-centered care. The partnership is formed around a luscious, four-layer chocolate peanut butter cake created by Gregg's master bakers specifically to benefit the children's hospital. Gregg's appropriately named the new specialty dessert the "Giving Cake." Each time a slice or whole cake is purchased, a percentage is donated to Hasbros. To date we've donated over $200k since the program began.

Gregg's has teamed up with the Potter League, a local RI non-profit Animal Care & Adoption center, to send a portion of the proceeds from their Paws for a Cause Ice cream cake sales to this organization. Now you can get your sweet fix and support a great cause at the same time!
